Practice is underway in The ATL and it looks like the Pro Circuit team is leading the way again in the 250 class with Davalos taking qualifying slot followed by Wharton and AC46. In the 450 class it was Stewart laying down the gauntlet followed by Roczen and Barcia. One more timed practice to go…
Holeshot goes to Musquin followed by Martin, Osborne, Roczen, Savatgy, and Davalos,
Baggett mistimes the gate and gets a horrible start
Tomac in about 10th place…another bad start for Tomac. He has had unreal second moto speed and endurance so it’s still possible for him to charge to the front
Roczen moves past Martin and into third…5 minutes into the moto
Jason Anderson letting it all hang out as he Panic Revs his Rockstar machine off the “Incredible Huck” double and rails the edges of the track
Webb putting pressure on Tomac and it looks like Tomac is ready to unleash his inner strength as he closes right in on Bogle and Anderson
Up Front Osborne is putting some serious pressure on Musquin with Roczen in tow
Osborne makes a mistake and drops back from the two Factory KTM’s
Halfway point and it’s Musquin and Roczen way out front followed by Osborne, Savatgy, Anderson, and Martin…three KTM’s in top four!
Tomac moving up, but a mistake has taken him back to 10th…Baggett is just in front of him
Osborne looks content in third and has put it into cruise control.
Up front Roczen had stepped up the pace, but Musquin has answered with his own surge. The battle is on.
Roczen can’t make it happen, but he’s trying everything he can but Musquin won’t be denied.
An elated Musquin takes the well deserved win over Roczen and Osborne. Tomac takes fourthin the moto and the final step on the podium.
James Stewart had goggle problems in Moto 1 and got hit in the eye with a rock, forcing him to DNF towards the end of the moto. Hopefully he can rebound in the second moto.
Lots of track maintenance between motos and a lot of the ruts have been smoothed out…look for a lot faster times in the early laps
Moto 2 is off and the holeshot goes to Yamaha mounted Josh Grant! Lets see what he can do!
Shorts bike stalls out and he goes down
Stewart takes the lead and Dungey makes a slight mistake and drops back to third
Villo moves into third and is looking to make his move
Grant riding well in second and holding off Dungey an RV2
Stewart feeling it out front and laying down some solid laps
Grant giving it his all in second…haging it waaaay out in the opening laps!
Stewart laying down 2:06 lap times…four second lead after 5 minutes of racing
Dungey makes that move on Grant for second…RV2 looking to do the same
RV2 moves into third…it’s Stewart, Dungey, and RV2 with about 6.5 seconds seperating them. Lots of racing left
RV2 launches the uphill triple and sticks to the inside line putting the pass on Dungey! Incredible!!!
Stewart and RV2 exchanging passes and Dungey luring close in third! Almost at the halfway mark…
Oh schnaaap! Stewart’s bike has failed and he pulls off! That sucks!!! Looks like an issue with the front wheel…broken rotor perhaps
RV2 into the lead but Dungey has picked up his intensity an is sitting on his rear wheel…they’re posting 2:06 lap times
A couple of small mistakes have cost Dungey about a second on this lap…he’s pinning it though!
Looks like Grant blew up with his efforts at the start of the race as he has faded outside of the top ten
With 10 minutes to go it’s RV, Dungey, Alesi, Rattray, Canard, Sipes, Reed, Barcia, M. Stewart, Weimer, and Grant.
Nice to see Reed inside the top 10…it’s been a rough start to his season but he he’s living proof that Champions will never give up
Top 5 are all spread out as the two lap card comes out…Canard has a chance to get Rattray before this one is over
RV2 just lapped Nicoletti who sits in 14 place…enfuego!
RV wins it followed by Dungey, Alessi, Rattray, Canard, Sipes, Barcia, Grant, Weimer, and Brayton
Podium 1) RV 2) Dungey 3) Rattrey

The track is drying out quickly as the 250 riders complete their parade lap and check out how rutted and nasty this course is becoming…
Roczen, Baggett, and Tomac have all proven in the past to be extremely fast here in High Point. Last year Roczen led most of the motos here, but faded a bit at the end and gave way to a hard charging Tomac who just got stronger and stronger as the moto progressed. #countrystrong
Holeshot goes to Troy Lee Design/Honda rider Cole Seeley
Bogle, Seeley, 338, Durham, Roczen all out front early and battling hard
Roczen slices his way to the lead on lap 1
Here comes Jason Anderson in 6th!
Seeley is flying in second!
And here comes Eli Tomac who started waaaay back! He has reeled in the Durham, Anderson, Osborne battle
Seeley goes down! Back up in about 10th
Durham makes a small mistake and Tomac gets him…Then Tomac makes a mistake and Durham retakes the position
Tomac lights it up and blasts past Durham and Anderson with ease…he’s all over Bogle now, and gets him too for fourth…he’s on a hella charge to the front
Baggett sits in 10th after a horrible start…not good for the fastest qualifier this morning
Tomac reels in Osborne and is all over him…nice outside line as he takes over third place
Suddenly Baggett is on fire and has worked his way into sixth
Osborne is starting to get gobbled up by Anderson…but Osborne fights back and knocks down Anderson after Anderson cuts across Osbornes line. It’s getting heated!
Roczen leads by 12 seconds over Musquin and 23 seconds over Tomac with about 10 minutes to go
Tomac is nailing that uphill triple and railing the outside berm to perfection
Tomac and Musquin are the two fastest riders on the track right now with 2:10′s…Roczen is at 2:13
Osborne has hit the fader button and sits outside the top 10… very uncharacteristic for him
Tomac down to 2:08
Tomac on Musquin with 2 laps to go
Musquin answers and drops his time to 2:08
Roczen wins followed by Musquin, Tomac, Baggett, and Bogle.
450 MOTO 1
And the pack is roaring up the infamous uphill here at Mt Morris and the Holeshot goes to Barcia
Barcia makes a mistake and RV2 blasts by and starts his march to the checkers
Ratray sitting in third followed by Malcolm Stewart, Short, and Dungey on lap 1
Track is muddy and rutty and Malcolm Stewart demonstrates the nastiness as he goes down and it looks like he rolled a ball in the process…Ouch!
RV Checking the F out on lap 2…Barcia is getting dropped in a hurry by the SX champ
Rattray finally started out front and he’s looking solid in third place! However, The Dung is hitting his stride and is starting to put pressure on him at the 8 minute mark. T
Dungey moves into third
JS7 starting to pick up his pace and moving up on Tickle for 12th?!
JS7 pins it down the rutted downhill and passes Tickle…Next up in JS7′s path is Alessi
Almost to the halfway point…running order is RV, Barcia, Dungey, Rattray, Sipes, Grant, Canard, Nicoletti, Weimer, Short, Alessi, Stewart, Tickle, M. Stewart, Brayton, Reed, Friese
Dungey reels in Barcia and makes the pass
Dungey sits 17 seconds back from RV2 with about 12 minutes to go
Stewart moves past Alessi and is working on Nicoletti for ninth with 9 minutes to go
Tickle starting to apply pressure on Alessi for 10th
Josh Grant looking solid out here in the first moto and is currently sitting in 6th
Track is super rutty and getting really choppy…a little sketchy to go wide open on
Barcia is 24 seconds behind the leader with 5 minutes to go in the moto
Josh Grant moves past Sipes to take over the 5th position…this battle will go down to the wire
Running order is RV2, Dungey, Barcia, Rattray, Grant, Sipes, Canard,
Last lap and it’s all RV in dominant fashion. JS7 has fallen back to 12th, not sure what happened but his little bro Malcolm is all over him!
Filthy Phil has Alessi and Tickle all over him on the last lap…it’s a battle royal!
RV2 wins followed by Dungey, Barcia, Rattray, Grant, Sipes, Canard, Weimer, Nicoletti, Alessi, and Tickle
